What is the Third Surface?
The Third Surface explores behind the camera of iconic film sets and breathes new life and charterer into the patterns and colours.
Using scenes from both the Barbie Movie and Star Wars 1: The Phantom Menace, feature identification and matching is applied throughout a proportion of the frames and from there a map is generated using these points
This example uses a simple CAD modelling approach to express different patterns and personality from our generated point map.
Evolving the end product, I looked to texturize these points to add additional flavour to the visuals to give a heightened sense of depth to the personality of the mapping.
